About us
PROCES – Centre for Municipal and Regional Development, Ltd. is one of the leading Czech institutions in applied research in the field of regional science.
We work throughout the Czech Republic, develop European research cooperation and participate in international regional development projects.
By combining economics, law, environmental studies, sociology and geoinformation technologies in regional, spatial and community planning, we produce relevant evidence for decision-making by central and local government.
We apply a systems approach when preparing policies and strategies for spatial planning and create modern tools for implementing development visions.
Integrated planning methods, well-designed working processes and human resource development enable public authorities to manage and plan territorial change comprehensively.
Through applied research, we monitor current societal change and evolving demands on the use of space. We prepare regional forecasts using modern mathematical and statistical methods, multi-criteria and spatial analyses, and geographic information systems.
