The research is addressed under the Public Procurement Programme in Applied Research and Innovation for the needs of the state administration BETA2 (hereinafter referred to as “BETA2”) of the Technology Agency of the Czech Republic (TA CR) as a research need of the Ministry of the Interior of the Czech Republic. The Prague Metropolitan Area (PMO) has a unique position within the Czech Republic not only due to its size and population, but mainly due to the concentration of economic activities, the role of Prague as the center of political administration of the state, a research center, a source of innovation and a national transport and communication hub. In the territory, various forms of integration usually take place on a sectoral basis. Some elements of cooperation (integrated transport) extend beyond the borders of the current PMO and the Prague-Central Bohemian agglomeration and in fact cross the borders of the Central Bohemian Region. In this territory, with regard to the method of delimitation, there live between 2 million inhabitants. The aim of the analysis is to obtain arguments and analytical documents for the setting up of the public administration system in the Prague-Central Bohemia area, or in the Prague Metropolitan Area, including the quantification of financial impacts.
