As part of the project “Strategic development plan of the city of Slaný, incl. economic strategic analysis”, a comprehensive strategic document was created in two stages. The first stage included the preparation of a detailed schedule, the study of initial documents, the creation of a communication strategy, the evaluation of the existing strategic plan, and the performance of a representative survey of residents and business entities. In addition, an analysis of the wider area, socio-demographic and socio-economic analysis was carried out, including the analysis of physical space and city management. There was a round table with citizens, SWOT analysis and meetings of working and steering groups. In the second stage, measures were proposed for specific objectives, a project stack was created, proposals were discussed with citizens and a strategic plan for council meetings was completed. The economic strategic analysis included an analysis of the city’s facilities and needs, an evaluation of changes in budget revenues in relation to changes in the population, and an analysis of the need for investment.
